Ms. Erin
Founder • Lead Yoga Educator
Erin MacDonald, BFA, E-RYT 500, RCYT, YACEP, KRI-L1, is the founder of Beach Kids Yoga and a movement educator with more than 20 years of teaching experience. She began her career in dance and movement education in 2003, expanded into yoga and mindfulness in 2008, and has since taught across yoga, Pilates, fitness, and functional movement.
Her work brings these disciplines together to help children build confidence, connection, body awareness, focus, and emotional regulation. Throughout her career, Erin has taught across an exceptionally wide range of ages and settings—from parent-child and youth programs to teens, families, professional athletes, touring artists, and corporate wellness.
Beyond teaching, Erin has extensive experience in curriculum development, teacher education, instructor mentorship, and wellness program leadership. Her approach is developmentally appropriate, playful, and grounded in giving children practical movement and mindfulness tools they can carry into everyday life.
As a mother of two, Erin believes in practice over perfection and creating meaningful experiences that meet children and families where they are.

Ms. Rebecca
Yoga Educator & Camp Counselor
Rebecca Lasko is a yoga educator, artist, and creative with a passion for connection, mindfulness, and holistic living. With a background in fashion design, art history, and costume design, Rebecca brings creativity and imagination into her work with children. Through yoga, meditation, movement, and art, she loves creating experiences that encourage kids to connect with themselves, express their creativity, and have fun.

Ms. Shanon
Yoga Educator
Shanon is an experienced yoga educator whose practice began at age twelve, inspired by her mother’s love of yoga. She earned her 200-hour yoga teacher certification in 2013 and has since taught throughout Los Angeles in schools, gyms, healthcare facilities, private homes, and community settings. Having taught students from ages 4 to 104, Shanon believes yoga is truly for everybody. She loves helping children use movement and mindfulness to build confidence, self-awareness, focus, and a greater sense of calm.

Camp Counselor
Molly is an elementary school teacher, tutor, yoga enthusiast, and Hermosa Beach local with eight years of experience working with children. She is passionate about helping kids build confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning. Molly brings her background in education and love of wellness to BKY, creating a supportive and engaging environment where kids can move, explore, connect, and be themselves.

Yoga Educator
Shadia is a passionate educator and wellness professional dedicated to nurturing children and families. A Certified Kids Yoga Instructor, Restorative Flying Yoga Teacher, and Culinary Educator, she brings a unique blend of movement, mindfulness, and creativity to her classes. As a mother of three and former owner of a multidisciplinary gym specializing in kids’ yoga and mindfulness, Shadia loves creating joyful experiences that help children build confidence, connection, and well-being.

Yoga Educator
Amy is a Holistic Health & Nutrition Coach, yoga teacher, and recipe creator with a passion for helping others connect through movement and wellness. Her yoga journey began at age four, attending Iyengar classes with her grandmother, and she later earned her 200-hour certification through YogaWorks. With experience across a variety of yoga styles, Amy brings a thoughtful, playful, and well-rounded approach to teaching. When she’s not on the mat, she loves gardening, exploring nature, playing guitar, and the occasional mermaid adventure! 🧜♀️

Ms. Heather
Yoga Educator
Heather is a yoga educator with experience teaching adults, teens, and children. She earned her 200-hour yoga teacher certification in Seattle before moving to the South Bay in 2019. Heather believes yoga is truly for everyone and loves helping students discover what makes them unique and giving them the confidence to let it shine.
With a background in dance, color guard, and movement education dating back to 2004, Heather has years of experience teaching students from elementary through college age. She brings an inclusive, encouraging, and playful approach to every class.
